Does anyone have a bad word to say about Kay Parker?

Kay ParkerShe made a series of highly successful adult films between the mid 70s and the mid 80s, working with respected directors like Anthony Spinelli, Robert McCallum and Cecil Howard – and it seems that everyone she met loved her. Along the way, she quickly developed a devoted fan base that has stayed loyal long after her retirement, and became a spokesperson for the industry on television and college campuses.

She even won an award once for being the class act of the industry.

And all this despite the fact that she didn’t make her first film until she was well into her 30s, and still describes herself as the biggest prude in porn.

It’s not as if her career was without controversy either; she starred in the incest film ‘Taboo’ for example and many of its sequels, and was working at Caballero when the Traci Lords underage scandal broke.

Kay ParkerSo what’s her secret? Well for a start, she describes herself as a wise old soul that has lived many previous lives that have prepared her for this one.

She’s published an autobiography – Taboo, Sacred Don’t Touch – in which she explores this, as well as her career in the adult industry. And more recently she’s worked as a metaphysical counselor and lecturer.

But who is the Kay Parker of this life, the one born in England who sounds like she should be in Downton Abbey, the one who made her way to California and ended up being one of the biggest names in the adult film industry?

And as she approaches her 70th birthday, what does this wise old soul make of it all today?

Allow me to be the first to say how excited I am to listen to this. Kay Parker is a true treasure – a lady and a great screen presence.

I hope you find the ‘pleasure’ you seek, and deserve!

A lovely production, starting off with the lovely Richard Pacheco in a lyrical passage, and wow, Kay, in the incest films and beyond, what a great and sexy lady.

Blessed thanks to The Rialto Report, as I just experienced 100 minutes listening X’s Oracle, and sincerely hope that KAY PARKER (the XRCO’s first “Class Act”) will be part of XRCO 30 on Wednesday April 16. As always Kay…take care and care take!

Well – that was the best 100 minutes I’ve spent this year.

Kay is truly a goddess and a wise old soul – and we are lucky to have her like in our midst.

Blessings to you Kay, and all of your many lives.

Who knows the truth of the cosmos, past lives, and the reincarnation?

What I know is that Kay is a good, good person – and we need more of her love.

    That I know for sure.

I first met Kay on the Dracula Sucks set in 1979.
    Instantly, I felt it smart not to get too close. She seemed.. otherwordly;
as if she had been dropped off here from ‘somewhere else.’
I had been studying a bit on the East coast with Ram Dass, Swami Satchidananda,
had become friends with Betty Dodson and yet felt it smart to keep a gentle distance from Kay. Through the years we would occasionally see each other and each time I was drawn closer to her. We briefly chatted at industry events and I felt safer to approach with warm hellos. During the Holywood Show in Los Angeles we briefly chatted. Subsequently I was invited to watch the Academy Awards at a gala party on March 2, 2014; Kay was there as well. I spotted here across the room. We smiled at each other and I realized, in an instant, that for most of our brief meetings, why I had qualms. And as we smiled at each other this night, I said to her, ‘Perfect.” We both sort of giggled.
Having just finished listening to Kay here on this edition of the Rialto Report it all makes sense!
Some of us have simply just been dropped off here.
Thank you again Ashley for keeping it all in deep focus.

Great interview Ashley. Thank you Kay for being so open and honest. Any chance of getting Annette Haven? She was mentioned in this podcast but I’m wondering if she is open to talking. If anyone can get her, it’s the Rialto Report!

Thanks NYCrex! We’d love to speak to Annette, and we have feelers out there to see if she’s ever interested in it…

Kay’s laugh and gentle ways come across so beautifully. I’ve fallen in love with her all over again. She always had such class, and now I can see that none of that was an act. A beautiful person.

Are you guys ever going to do a where are they now on New York 80’s porn star Chelsea Blake? She was kind of an unsung hero in her day and only did films from 1984-85, I believe I read that R Bolla was a good friend and helped her get into the industry. Chelsea was one of the original Milfs of her era and had a muscular body for a woman of her age from years of dancing. She was a favorite of Candida Royalle
