The Prince of Porn (2002)

The Prince of Porn (2002), Brian O’Hara’s great documentary look at the behind the scenes world of Phil Prince.

From the mid 1970s to the early 1980s, Avon Productions developed a reputation for adding violence to NY-shot adult films in a series of efforts directed by Joe Davian, Shaun Costello, and Ron Dorfman.

Perhaps the most notorious were the films of director Phil Prince, including The Story of Prunella, Kneel Before Me, and The Taming of Rebecca.

A number of Prince’s films were edited by Maxim H. Houseinbold – in reality Brian O’Hara. O’Hara interviewed Prince for his short The Prince of Porn which contains outtakes from a number of the Avon films he edited.
