Alan Adrian’s Party Life Album

Alan Adrian’s Party Life Album

John A. Mozzer, better known as adult film actor Alan Adrian in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s, has generously shared a selection of photos of his active party life involving people from the adult film industry.

Also included below is a video that John made of Marc Stevens’ party invites from the same period.

I first became aware of Alan Adrian in the Shaun Costello film Afternoon Delights (1980) where he appears in a mistress/slave scene with Samantha Fox.

He appeared in many New York-based adult films at the tail end of the era when adult movies were shot on film. He always looked young, skinny and fresh-faced – an unlikely and welcome presence in the industry.

Thanks to his diligent record-keeping, he is a golden source of information from this period – from dates to locations, contacts and payments, photos and diaries, scripts and pressbooks.

The Rialto Report is grateful to John who has given us permission to present this selection of photos from his Party Life Album.

A wonderful record of the times. We’re so lucky to have people like John who both documented and held on to these gems from the past. Can’t wait to see more of what you have in the archives John!

I used to know Sharon and Tigr in the early 80s. These pictures really brought back happy memories. I’d love to see more of these parties.
One question: who actually took the pictures?

I too was friends with Tigr and Sharon.
I worked with Tigr on Scoundrals. Still one of the hottest scenes I ever shot. Fred Lincoln shot it in slo motion and we smoked a joint during the 3-way scene as it was part of the scene. I played Tigr’s boyfriend who seduces Tigr’s mom, played by Lisa Be( great lady❤️). Ronnie Jeremy played Lisa’s husband. HBO ranked this in the top 25 adult movies ever . Very proud of that scene. It won:-)

My friend Mike Singer shot all of the photos, Jason. He let me have the original 35mm transparencies many years ago. I hope he’s okay, because I don’t know where he is, or how he is, now

Great pictures John! Were you particularly close to Sharon and Tigr at the time? What were they like?

Let’s hope The Rialto Report can get these two together for an interview…?

A great time in porn, New York in the early 80′. There was a beautiful hard bodied Milf from that era Chelsea Blake. Besides being a great performer Chelsea was also a great character actress. For some reason Jerry Butler didn’t like her and made nasty comments in his book about her. Does anyone know whatever happened to Chelsea Blake?

I would also love to see a where are they now on Shana Evans, the beautiful star of 1983’s Fleshdance. The film was an instant classic. Shana would be close to 50 now but she will always be that beautiful young black girl with the legwarmers

These are stunning, crisp, images. I did my thesis film in college on this period and it’s wonderful to see candid photography like this. Mad propers to Rialto Report and Ashley West for this archival effort. It’s been over a decade this I thought about the golden age. Takes me right back to a dormant interest.

indeed, it is great to see these photos from an era that now seems quaint and even innocent. many thanks, to both ashley and john. i, too, hope to see more of what john has curated through the years…and in particular, a podcast would be great! i’d love to know, especially, the truth behind Tiffany Lust and Aphrodesia’s Diary. though both are now generally accepted to have been made by mr. metzger, did gerard kikoine have any involvement?

I agree with the others – these photos are tantalizing… What more do you have John, and would you be willing to share further collections?

I’d love to share more photos, if only I could get my hands on them. I am seeking access to the original transparencies or negatives of lots of photos that I know were shot during the era, so that I can digitize them, and make them available for people to see. Scads of photos, both of myself, and of adult film industry people and events in general, were shot that were never published. But many of the old friends and colleagues who shot the photos don’t even know where their own transparencies or negatives are. I’ve been asking . . .

By the way, least anyone doubt the Party Life Album is a real album, you can see a photo of me holding it here:

These photos bring back some fond memories. Back in the early 80’s I remember seeing Mac Stevens in a hardware store on 23rd street. Growing up in the 70’s New York & Time Square might have been seedy but it had a lot of character. It is a shame what they did to Time Square. Thanks for sharing these photos.

Thank you for posting these…. I was at MANY of these events back in the day. Marc (and Annie) were friends of friends, and I found myself at their apartment building countless times. I clearly remember seeing Helen Wheels, and Spider Webb. Those were heady days hanging with Tiny Tim, Grace Slick, and many a porn Vixen. Thank you for unearthing the collage of the invites…. I had these hanging in my house for years, but sadly, lost them.

Alan Adrian and I played deputies to Ron Jeremy’s sherif in ” Debbie Does Dallas 2″. Alan was a soft spoken guy. But had that kinky side. He could be quite the charmer. And funny!
I remember vividly the scene where we come upon “Debbie”, the fantastic Bambi Woods. The scene was shot in New Jersey in a sunny but very cold winter day. Sherrie Ron takes her away from us and in complaining that she got away.. While walking by a steep hill, the director Jim Clark tells us to walk down the hill, then fall down the hill. Well, Alan and I look at each other.. We were only in our uniforms, no coats or boots.. Fuck it.. Down we roll about 50-75 feet on the snow down to the bottom.
We were cold and soaked. But laughing hysterically.
